Retina Thickness and Spinocerebellar Ataxia

The retina, the part of the eye that an image one sees is projected onto, was found to have decreased thickness in SCA3 patients compared to healthy participants. It was found that the more severe one’s ataxia is, the thinner one’s retina is.
