Sensor Study of Balance While Walking with Ataxia Patients

People with ataxia were asked to perform several turning movements while walking. Wearable sensors attached to the participants' feet tracked their movements. The researchers suggested that it may be possible to observe clinically important changes in people’s balance as they walk. This, hopefully, may enable earlier treatment and diagnosis of ataxia.
